Definition of Terms

• Security Threats: Potential causes of an unwanted incident, which may result in harm to a system or organization.

• Vulnerability: A weakness or gap in a security program that can be exploited by threats to gain unauthorized access to an asset.

• Risk Impact: The potential loss or damage caused to an organization if a security threat exploits a vulnerability.
• ICT Security Policy: A document containing a set of rules enacted by an organization to ensure all users abide by prescriptions regarding the security of digitally stored data.
